November

To those who have welcomed me to the role as Executive Minister for Western Australia, I thank you.  It is a privilege to serve God by leading His people who make up His body here on earth.  I look forward with great anticipation to see God's Kingdom flourish here in the West.

The marks of the Kingdom are not the number of people in the Kingdom (our churches), but the way in which the rule of the King affects the domain of the King’s rulership.  In old world times, a good and gracious King brought peace, order and stability to his Realm.  People enjoyed relative prosperity, safety and provision.  A bad King did the opposite. He was known as a tyrant and drove his people to despair, often only for his own personal gain.  His rule was evident but respect was lacking.

Our mark will be measured by how our society is affected by the rule of Jesus Christ.  Our role is to take Jesus to our nation one person at a time and show them that our King brings good news.  He is a good and gracious ruler whose Kingdom will bear good fruit.  The marks of the Kingdom will be peace, order, harmony, unity and respect.  Its modus operandi will be love and its source of strength will be the power of the Holy Spirit.

We are called into this Kingdom to represent the King before all people.  The way we do this will determine the extent to which God's Kingdom will flourish in people’s hearts and will be evident through the moral, ethical and social strength of our community.

It is a privilege to join the churches of the West and it is my great hope that together we will leave the marks of the Eternal Kingdom on our community, society and country.  May Jesus our King be glorified!
